J* Workshop

On Tuesday, I attended Jasmine Star's photography workshop.  And it basically rocked my world.  This woman is nothing less than amazing, not only in photography but also in her being. I have never met a photographer more open & willing to share her story than Jasmine. She literally went through her expert branding secrets, tips for natural light photography as well as her personal story from Day 1 to now. I left with a head buzzing with new ideas and a heart full of inspiration & excitement for what's to come.

So, whether you are a novice interested in taking the leap of faith into a photography career or an old pro who may just need a little re-boot in marketing, Jasmine's workshop is for you. It may seem pricey, but it was worth every cent. Plus, you get a cool pen. :)

One of my favorite parts of the workshop was Jasmine's lesson on shooting at midday in the harshest of harsh lights so we could see what to do in such scenarios. Although sunset/twilight will always be my first choice with Mother Earth's perfect pastel palette filling the sky, I am now confident I can take on a midday shoot without having a small panic attack and hyperventilating in a paper bag beforehand.  That alone made the workshop priceless in my book.

During the midday photo shoot, Jasmine encouraged us to each take the reins as "lead" photographer.  Here are two of the shots from my time in the hot seat...
(P.S. Although this bride was gorgeous on her own, Vivian Tran of All Made Up Team created this stunning hair & make-up look.)

All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better day or workshop.

xo,
J.
